So, so good! Fun atmosphere too. I looked for a place near the The New World Stages that would be interesting for my husband and I, yet also have something for my picky teenager. I had the grilled chicken plate and my husband a ceviche and the beef hearts. My kid ended up helping me with the chicken, it was so good. Totally recommend this place before a play, or really anytime.

Best ceviche in NYC! Hand down! Have the ceviche de corvina and tostones. Add sangria and you have a wonderful meal! The best!!

My friend was in the mood for good Peruvian chicken and I remembered this place. The place was nice and clean and service was great. We started with the happy hour frozen margaritas which were nicely booked up. We had the Leche de Tigre for appetizer which was not particularly great tasting but it sure was fresh; The Tamal Limeño was surprisingly good. For entres we shared the Combo Killer and the Parrillada. Everything was great and sufficient for the 3 of us. We couldn't finish it all, had enough for tomorrow's lunch! The chicken wasn't as great as we expected but it was still very good. The parrillada was lacking some flavor, the pork-chop was really dry but it did the trick. Though it wasn't perfect it did hit the spot for all three of us. What we enjoyed the most was the tostones and the garlic sauce. While we were having dinner, mariachis came in at 2 different times to play a few songs. This was a delightful surprise. Definitely will come back again for the drinks, the service and the food!

My friend and I tried the chicha morada, chaufa combo, and ceviche de camarones. We loved the chicha morada! Super tasty and it was my friend's first time trying this drink. She loved it! The Chaufa combo (rotisserie chicken) was delicious as well. The chicken wasn't dry, super flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fried rice that came with it was really good as well and very flavorful. We loved the fried rice. Salad was also good. Good portion to split with someone if you are not that hungry! The ceviche de camarones (cooked shrimp) was the only thing we didn't enjoy on our visit. It was definitely a let down and underwhelming. The shrimp were small and not cut up like shrimp ceviche usually is served.. it also lacked any flavor in it. The juice just didn't taste good or fresh. I would not recommend this dish. Service was quick and friendly. The server was on top of checking back and filling our waters but never came to ask if everything tasted ok or not. Overall good. I would order the chaufa combo again but probably get it to-go instead of dining in. There are better Peruvian restaurants in the area. Most likely won't be back anytime soon.

I've heard a lot about Kausa but today was my first time trying them out. I ordered a meal for takeout. They have several lunch specials which I considered but I ultimately went with the half chicken deal (a steal at $9- they give you a huge chunk!) and a side of rice and tostones. This came out to just under $25. I was a bit surprised that the price of the rice side was $6, but when I saw the portion size, it seemed a lot more reasonable. It's a whole container full. Likewise for the tostones. The tostones were really good too- crispy and not too greasy. The chicken came with two sauces (which I haven't tried yet)- a green one (cilantro based I believe) and an orange garlic-based one. The rotisserie chickwn was so juicy and well seasoned. It's one of my favorite things to order from Peruvian restaurants. Next time I need to try the Kausa (causa) (the namesake of the restaurant). It didn't really catch my eye but if it's as good as what I ordered, I'd be open to trying it!
